30 May 1784

Sir

I called at your House this Morning, to have acquainted you with the Kings Sentiments on the presentation of the History of Capt Cookes [Cooks] last Voyage, to the King of France and Empress of Russia;  and the binding of the Books intended for himself.  But your Servant tells me you were not to be again in Town, before next Thursday.

I am to see the King again on Wednesday, upon the same occasion.  I must therefore trespass so far upon your indulgence, as to beg you will let me see you as early on Tuesday Morning as will be most convenient to you;  for obtaining your farther [further]
