held out to him, but it may not be improper to apprize [appraise] you that tho' we have got the present Board of Admiralty into a favourable disposition, it is generally supposed that Ld Keppell will quit his office before the meeting of Parliament, & therefore we should by all means go as far as we can in securing all our points without with that office, before there is another change.
