after staying for a short time, they sailed back to the eastern sea through the same strait.  That on their return coming back they saw again the same vessels and several Ischukitschians ;  and that the return of those vessels took place in the first days of September.  That the above-named Ischukitschians believe them to be Russians on account of the manner in which they were dressed and their way of speaking.  But for what part of the world did the said vessels sail, and where they will spend the winter, he, Tekhew, could not say.
