Sir

My much respected Friend, Governor King of Norfolk Island did me the Honor of commiting to My Care, a Box containing Seeds for you, which I now have the pleasure of Sending by the Georgiana Packet under care of Capt. Luard her Commandr. and which I hope will come Safe to hand.

I re'ed also from the Governor for yours, one Box of the Norfolk Flax plants and one of the pines, - these Two Boxes of plants I am exceedingly Sorry to Say have entirely decayd,  and I do assure you Sir, it was from no want of Care, for I had Capt Paterson of Port Jacksons Gardner to attend to them
