Dear Sir,

It was my intention to have waited on you tomorrow Morning but am cruelly prevented by a severe attack of  Rheumatism, which makes it necessary for me to keep my Bed, but hope two or three Days will set me to right again - I wrote to you yesterday respecting what had been done about Colonel Paterson, which I hope you received. I wanted much to see you respecting a proposal of one of Captn. Schanks's [lake?] -built vessels of 60 Tons burthen, being sent to N.S. Wales as a Colonial Vessel for the purpose of surveying &c, the numerous good qualities & high Character which every
