The Inclosure marked C I take the liberty to inclose to their Lordships, for their further information on the subject, it being a Correspondence between me and Lieut. Colonel Foveaux by which I endeavoured to detain Lieut. Symons, and to show Lt Colonel he had no right to interfere with the Naval Service.

     On the 15th August I had an opportunity of writing to Sir Edward Pellew by a Ship bound to Calcutta, stating my situation and submitting to his consideration how far he could send me assistance.
