Sunday, 25 April 1915
Arrived at Gallipoli about 4.30 am. Heavy bombardment in progress by Warships including Queen Elizabeth. Infantry landed under fire & made a good charge up hill. Advanced about two miles Inland. Covered Artillery did damage to landing parties & the Warships were unable to find them. Infantry captured Turk Trenches but retired during night.
