Yesterday & to day I have been spraying mumps huts & mounting guard over swill tubs; neither very intelligent, but fairly easy, & leaving plenty of time on my hands.
Astonished to find that the infantryman dispenser is my old friend from Brisbane –Syd Baker.
It is rather an awkward position to be waiting to step into the shoes of such a decent chap.
He is self effacing & modest & I really believe I [he] is anxious to consider all others before himself
