After a very pleasant voyage, we sighted land at 10.15am on the 9th of Nov.
Always to the front the Y.M.C.A. welcomed us at Port O'Call No1 (Durban) even before the ship was made fast.
From far out on the Jetty a young lady Semaphored the greetings of the ubiquitous and ever helpful institution. Come to the Y.M.C.A. Hut close to the Town Hall.
Arrived in Wharf at 12 noon but were not allowed ashore till a guard of 50 Artillery men
