As I am disabled by the Gout from writing I am obliged to employ the pen of another person Col. Mr. Quarvy the New Governor who brings you this has been so kind at my request to undertake to pay you your wages & issue your allowances to you in the manner that has been done by former Governors whether he will continue the same indulgencies to you as they have done is more than I can venture to undertake for he will however I am Sure give you every indulgence that you can reasonably expect with the Strictest attention to justice & honour, under these circumstances you will determine whether you chuse [choose] to continue where you are or come home upon the options offerd [offered] to you in my last letter.
