it is at first very much weakened by the juices of the Animal. such animals ought therefore to have the abdomen, & thorax fill'd with Spirit. A Trochar [trocar] will answer with a syringe for both these cavities Fish ought to have rather more than their own quantity. The still more imperfect animals have a greater tendency to putrefy therefore require more Spirits. large animals who are not to be preserved in bottles, for their external Figure but only fit for Dissection of their internal parts may be put into a Cask without suspension, & more than one
