5.  View of Chinese shipping in the Gulph of Pe-lche-le.  The vessels in this drawing are accurate portraits of those that transported the presents and baggage from the Lion and Hindostan into the river Pei-ha.

6.  A view of the Golden Mountain, an island in the River Yang-Tse-Kiang decorated with a variety of light and fanciful buildings, and crowned with a lofty and very elegant Pagoda.

7.  View of the Yellow river near its junction with the grand canal.  The busy scene of shipping at this place conveys a good idea of the trade and commerce in the interior parts of the country.

8.  View of a curious double roofed temple, and a sluice on the Grand Canal with barges passing though it.

9.  Portrait of the mandarine on horseback who carried the Emperor's letter before the Embassador from Pekin [Peking] to Tong-Ichiou. The hauteur and consequence of the person charged with this commission is happily conceived and highly characteristic

10.  A drawing to illustrate the manner in which, boats are drawn up a sloping glacis where the surface of the water in one canal is much higher than that of another.

11.  A view of part of the city wall of Pao-yng-shein with the accomodation barges passing under it. This drawing will serve to show the nature of Chinese city walls in general.
