The writer seems to insinuate that an order Par le Roy would be immediately obeyd by those Colonists usd to obey the mandates of an arbitrary Government but the injustice of ordering People to exchange their Good money for an Tokens of less value is evident & the Policy of such a step being taken a Forcd circulation being adopted by an English Government surely very doubfull, in Fact the writer seems to Place his hope of the adoption of his scheme more on the advantage which England would obtain by wringing £5000 out of the Circulation of the oppressd Colonists than upon any Real benefit which the revenue would Confer upon them Colonists Conquerd Colonies.

Besides these objections the danger of Counterfeits must be considerd, if by this Project Silver Tokens are Forced fosed into Circulation at more then Twice their intrinsic value, as proposd, the worthy manufacturers of Birmingham who have long been in the habit of furnishing our Colonists with Portugese gold of any Required weight or value will not fail to Profit by the opportunity, & by their destroying the confidence of Colonists in their new mediums, reduce them to a State of Distress ten times Greater than that they now suffer,
