3d.  Persons who bring in Tokens for Examination & Compensation must, in the first instance, declare that they have counted the contents of each Bag, & found it to contain not more than 3080 Pieces, & also have weighed the said Pieces & found them to weigh the full weight of 56 lb, & that they have also, to the best of their Judgment & belief, freed them from all Counterfeits. In every case, where a Bag is found to contain more than 3080 Pieces, the Pieces to weigh less than 56 lb, or where Counterfeits are found among them, the Officers of His Majesties Mint have Orders to return the Bags to the Owners without further examination of their contents.

4th.  Every Person who sends in Tokens for Examination & Compensation by appointment with the principal Officers of His Majesty's Mint, must attend in person, or send a sufficient & well informed Person to attend in his stead during the whole time of the Examination, to be a witness of the Manner in which the Pieces are examined - to answer such Questions as may be put to him by the Persons employed in examining, & to take such instructions, which the Officers of His Majesty's Mint are required to give, as may enable them, in the case of Counterfeit Pieces being mixed among the genuine ones, to make a more correct selection in future.
