I beg leave to inform you that there are on board at present 703 Vessels containing 878 Plants all in fine order and in particular the Breadfruit & all the other Otaheitean Plants, are growing as luxuriant as I have ever seen them on the Plains of Matavai or Opane, we have got four Plants of the St. Helena Fern Tree in a flourishing State. I have deliverd to Capt.n Bligh a list of the Plants which he wish'd to send himself, we have lost no Plants in consequence of the cold weather altho the Thermtr has been as low as 58º, we have got a collection of specimens all in fine order and as many different Kinds of Seeds as we possibly could collect.
