Admiralty Office. 23rd May. 1812

Sir,

I received only yesterday evening, and have since communicated to my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty your letter dated the 6th ultimo, recommending that the sum of seventy guineas should be paid to Mr Westall for a picture intended to illustrate the account of Captain Flinders's voyage, which he has been permitted to exhibit at the Royal academy; and I am commanded by their Lordships to acquaint you that, when the picture shall be delivered into the Admiralty, the order for payment will be given.
