Dear Sr Joseph
The enclosed is the memorandum I made at Whitley & Barrits Garden where I saw some vines in pots well established and fit for a voyage. There were other sorts besides those I noticed.
The China Jar I left in Soho [Square] will I hope answer the purpose. Some of the Garden Pots will go into fit the the mouth of it and be sufficient to contain supply of earth for a Lysimachia Numilaria. I could not find a more suitable one in my walks. Lr [Lady?] Banks must therefore excuse its deficiencies
I have decided to return with you next Thursday and to pay my duty on the Terrace with the agreable party [&?] invited me to join - present my best compls and believe ever yours
