same plants, as your Kalmia glauca &c;  pray urge Salisbury a little;  a word of encouragemt. from you will I know have great influence.  Broussonet has pretty well satisfied me that L'Heritier really could not at present give away any of Dombey's specimens, they not being yet his property; hereafter we ought to expect something from him, & he has promised me both for your herbarium & my own.

I hear Pacifico's box is arrived.  Am sorry your thoughts have been much taken up about it.

I am very glad to hear of the publication of Hortus Kewensis, that England may put in some claim to her own property.   It is very well I did not see Fabricius in London.  He might have wanted to describe the nondescripts among my insects, which I should certainly have refused him.

I shall be here three weeks longer with my brother who is come to see Paris.  My mother keeps guard at Chelsea till my return.  I think Broussonet has sent you some racine de disette, but I'll bring more.  I am D.r Sir with the most perfect respect & regard
