I to entreat you to write to me but as Mr. Brown has ever been very friendly to us, I think he will not scruple to bring me any information you will have the goodness to send me.
I cannot help feeling deeply interested that nothing may have been advanced or admitted against Capt Bligh in his absence which in any way denogates [denigrate] from his moral Character or from his conduct as an Officer.
