I beg leave to return you my sincere thanks for the very kind Note you sent me when you returned me Mr. Arthurs trial. I was sorry, to ask it. but the People who had lent it me to read were so very clamorous for it. I have since got another Copy which is forthcoming when you please. I now enclose Colnl. Patersons letter to you of the 11th of March 1808. Today Capt Skelton's of the Ferret Whaler (who arrived with the India fleet) has sent me the following information. He had Victualled at Norfolk Island and sailed from thence on the 27th of May; 3 days before he sailed a large Ship called the Edinburgh Castle arrived there from Sydney, sent by Johnston to bring away the Officers &c, on purpose to
