had only a few Boxes of Plants which Mr. Brown left here.  On my recommending to him to send home some when a good opportunity offered I found he would not admit me to interfere in his plans, & knowing it to be your wish I should not do it, I left him with assurances he should have whatever assistance he wanted when he chose to go into the interior.  We have found two Bails of Brown paper which came in the Duke of Portland directed to Govr. King and have seized upon it as your property so that Caley is now pleased - he will be savage if he does not get paper.  I have sent a Box of seeds for my Lord St. Vincent which is all I have been able to execute.  I make this a separate Letter and remain my Dear Sir

with great regard Very
faithfully Yours

Wm Bligh

Sir Joseph Banks Bart. K.B.
