Thus it is that all Map Sellers require little other than to assert, determined by observation, to any place they may lay down, & it is not to be expected they can do more, but I would be answerable to form Maps of all Voyages with correct documents, so evident, that all the conclusions should be equally satisfactory. The Voyage to St. Helena is a fearful Voyage to young Navigators, & that it might direct them, was the reason why I [went] so far to the Eastd [eastward] of St. Helena when I could have made it on a Meridian.  I have said this much, besides my sincere obligation to you for wishing to promote the publication by Mr. Arrowsmith, & I will write to him as you will approve of.  Nothing will give me more satisfaction & pleasure than to meet you at Cobham, & my time My Dear Sir will be yours unless a Court Martial is ordered on that day.  I have not heard as yet whether Lord Darnley is down, but I shall be anxious to have the happyness [happiness] of meeting you. The ship is reported to require four months to repair her, if so I hope My Lord Spencer
