He was a particular friend of mine have been out severall times With my Phaeton in the Country, how happy Shd  I be that it was you, Then I will plead for my Son & recommend him in yr Protection, and I have still some hopes towards it as from abt 12 or 13 years ago I was at Deptford, upon my coming or going Home to London, I met one Mr Tulpatruks that time here when the king of Prussia was here to Establish that Compy or Inn keeper or Ordinary for the English & Scotts Gentlemen, he did not know me but I knew Him still ask'd Him if he had not formerly being at Embden sayd that he had so he was glad & told me that he was a man belonging to Greenwich Hospital at the Same time I Enquired if he knew all the Gentn as Mr Chevallier Mr Banks told me he knew Nobody Else as Mr Banks Whom He had then met in St Jams Park Walking With othr Gentn and say's he Mr Banks was so kind [klap'd?] me two 36 Shillinge ps in my hand I ask'd Him What he Employ'd he say'd must be in His Majesty's Service at Sea, this Intelligence does give me hopes still that it is  Your good Self that has been here in Embden formerly & then You'll remember Him that Expects yr kind reply in Course if you Wd take my Son Long With you and I'll pay any money that he might profit of yr Wisdom & understanding especially You'll do it When, You'll remember Him that Kisses Your hand's & remains With the highest Regard
