what I say and fortifies my determination no [not] to act with them

Contrary to my opinions fully noted to Mr Forster Mr Pit resolvd to destroy the difference of currency between England & Ireland & your halfpence were orderd in consequence of that Resolution since they were when your dies were nearly finished some one told Mr Pitt that the expence of paying the Civil & military in Ireland in English instead of in Irish currency would be a very Large sum The measure was therefore abandoned but the Commee did not find out that coins on which [indecipherable] was put could not circulate in any seperate part of the United Kingdom & orderd you to proceed in the intention of using them for England now they have found out their last Blunder & ask you to alter your dies after they have been [indecipherable] ignorance too great indeed

I see nothing they can do or continue with to have new dies new Rolld Plates new Blanks & to begin from the beginning again in that case I should make no scruple were I in your situation & demand the cost of my dies of my Rolling & Cutting Blanks to waste & the maintenance of my coiners all this realy stated at the cost without any profit may be most honorably made by you & cannot with either justice or prudence be [indecipherable].

Rely on my perfect silence respecting everything that passes between us Pluck up your spirits & meet the new Commeeas they have met you do not try to conciliate or recommend yourself to them meet them as persons indifferent to you & they will do as you wish them to do were they guided by the immutable Laws of truth I should have acted with them as it is use them as you find them honorably I know you will use every means but make no sacrifice
