To Ld Bathurst
July 26 -12

I saw the managers & Mr Musket on Thursday & I Found them willing to undertake a Copper Coinage at the Rate of £42 a Ton which I Found is the Last Price Boulton Receivd for Coining  in his first Contract he Coind & Circulated for that Sum in his last he was allowd £42 for Coinage & £5 for Circulation

The managers did offer to pay Mr Morrison for  of Melton for Preparing the Copper for the Rolling  All things will therefore be done within the walls as ought to be the Case, under all these Circumstances the bargain for the Public appears almost too good a one, I doubt whether the moneyers will be able to Continue it but at present they appear willing to Contract for 100 tons at that Price I have this day obtaind from the Treasury the Last Work warrant for Coining Copper for England & from the mint the Last warrant for Ireland before the end of the week I hope to be able to Lay something before your Lordship or at Least to take your Pleasure on the matter

The order of the Commee of Coin for using the new die your Lordship has seen I should have prepared a minute for the matter on the Subject of his house had not Mr Musket told me that he intends to Remove into it in the Course of the next week

Mr Muskets Case Continues to me a Puzzle from which I cannot extricate myself he is now in the Reins of the Fire man who ought to be always Ready to Light & keep up the Fires so that his Present Situation is a breach of the trust in the first instance of the Rules of the office that he ought to be made Content is Clear, for he is one of those Secret Wheels
