behind us amongst the cultivation fields; Les goes on the patrol tonight & Reid tomorrow night, as we are the only 3 sigs available will will have it pretty constant; The troops are getting a good deal of work to do getting the camp in order, fatigues, Etc. the whole Sqd on fatigue this morning Tents were erected last night after tea; yesterday afternoon we put down breast lines for the horses & dug up several skulls & pieces of skeletons while digging the hole, we can dig down a couple of feet anywhere here & strike skulls; Dave Lindsay turned up here this afternoon after his trip to Suez; The Col. Adj. & Nelson went away early this morning by train & arrived back tonight ; This afternoon Les. Reid & I went out to the well & put the lamp up, we intend to leave it there day & night
