Early reveille this morning & soon had our tents down & ready for the track to left camp at 9 am followed by the 2nd regt; Saw Stan as we passed the Hospital; We had a very good journey the day being glorious, & the country looks fine; Soon after dinner Reid had trouble with the Pack horse & I stayed behind with him to fix the pack & took good care not to catch up to the Regt again before we got to Barrage; It was after dark before we commenced to put down the lines but did not lose much time; We were only issued with bully beef & bread for tea but fortunately we had brought some tinned fruit which came in very handy; A guard was put on the bridge tonight to stop anyone from going to the village
