January 1915Tuesday 19The days are becoming shorter & the nights colder as we move away from the Equator it is winter in Egypt & I expect cold enough at night.To date 7 horses have died, mostly from Pneumonia –Day follows day, stables routine broken by Rifle inspection, we are able to walk the horses all the way around the ship.Orderly officer today.
