February, 1915Sunday 21Colonel Meredith returned from a visit of inspection of Canal he tells us that dead Turks are coming to the surface now being loaded with [indecipherable] rounds of Ammunition they did not float so soon as an ordinary corpse [indecipherable] they are blown up & floatAttended Church Parade. The Colonel tells us the Turks are still hovering across the Canal, & have carted hundreds of Iron boats from Damascus to cross the Canal in.
