May, 1915Tuesday 4Regimental training Ismalian Canal, Mulberry trees & Lebbak a species of Acacia line the road here. This is the Harvest season & a good many quail are about but I have not shot any yet.All the Hospitals are now full, quaint "bunks" made from the ribs of Palm trees at 5.P.T. each, & a sad sight to see row upon row - & some good yarns are spun re the fight
