9 January 1918 Wednesday
Cleared off & a Parcel mail arrived- Skin trouble still worrying me but better. The whole landscape is mud & Water but Johnny Turk quiet & no enemy Aeroplanes- Gen. Cox has left- I think for good- Col Onslow is expected to get the Brigade- Day's Bed Soks most useful- have 2 pairs now- Warm weather comes in March
