19th A man came through the hut selling papers and being the eligible age for
enlistment was asked why he was not in kharki. He said he had presented himself but
had been rejected for being "mentally deficient" "But I will be all right" he said "I am
going home to practice up a bit.
We do half-an-hour a day physical exercises under an imperial expert and it is doing us
the world of good.
Another story told is of an old hen that was standing in the road when a motor came
