"On a hill Edinburgh decided to build a palace. They put up 100 pillars of stone at a cost
of £ 1000 each and a row of stone to hold them together, and found they had not
enough money to go on with it. To put the finishing touch on it Glasgow offered to lend
the money which was indignantly refused. So now the Glasgow people tell tourists not
