6th Still bivouacing. – a good deal of aerial activity.

7th and a hell of a lot of shelling
Cannons to the left of us
           Cannons to the right of us
           Volleyed and thundered
                     Fritz made an awful fuss
                               Missed them and near got us
                Lord, how he blundered.
The French have pulled up
