over me must have been a bad one for the pellet hit my hat & never went through it or Bernard.
The turks were deliberately sniping at us all day & we spent a very unpleasant day one man being wounded five horses killed & two injured & two sandcarts smashed & about four or five put out of use.
We finished up at about 11 pm & got back here & watered the horses for the first time since 2 pm on the 2nd November & turned in about 3 am this morning. Got up again about 9 am & then at 5 pm got orders
