The Colonel had all the NCOs paraded before him today & told us he was disgusted with us all, warned us that he could break us without a court martial & said if there was not a marked improvement he would do it too.
All this without even a hint before. Encouraging sort of man. He reminds me very strongly at times of the odious Tate Sutherland with whom we left Australia
