eggs etc. During the last few days the enemy aircrafts have been very active & not a day has passed be we've had aircraft actions overhead

This morning their guns started shelling Sailly which is about a mile away from the camp we could hear the shells coming through the air. We learned they were shelling the Railway Station & also the big building where the Engineers have their quarters. Had to go into Sailly this morning & as we crossed the river we could see the smoke from the explosion of the shells & we met the Drivers
