detailed to report with my limber waggon to the Sanitary Section in Sailly-sur Lys about 4 miles away a small town just within range of the German Guns but which doesn't receive much attention from them at present. Most of the windows are broken in the houses & now & then one passes a building which has "stopped one"

The principal Church has been destroyed by fire & now is nothing but 4 walls & a tower. It is now the wood & coal supply depot & proved to be where I had to go to pick up a load for the San. Section

I drove straight through the Tower where the main entrance
