for a profession. But in these days when one has just volunteered for the war & all made equal home sacrifices. It is galling when one does go into a town with a free afternoon to find the only decent hotel & restaurant where one can get a civilized feed marked "officers only"

We off often discuss the snobbishnes & selfishness of the many things we see going on around us like this but we have no redress – one just grins & bears it – So thank God for a sense of humour & the fact that ones mates are as good & straight a mob
