life up to the present but I would have liked last night when I went to look him up that he had got a nice 'Blighty'

Gus Nicholls returned to the company last night from the Artillery unit he is attached to in order to get a new pair of horses as his team – the 2 crack greys – were hit with a shell & killed & although he was lying alongside he never got a scratch.

Young Panton in a frivolous mood wrote out a mock programme & as it contained many Topical Allusions I have made a copy of it
