Received the following message from His Excellency,
The Governor General:-
"I wish all success to the First Australian Contingent to embark, and am confident it will give a good account of itself."

Suitable reply despatched by wire.

P.M.O. reported to me at 5-0 p.m. that a man (Pvt. W.C. Dunham, 'F' Coy.) was suffering from Epilepsy; he admitted to Captain Donaldson, A.M.C., that he was subject to Epileptic Fits and had therefore made a false declaration in his attestation.   He was sent ashore to Sydney Hospital.
