Short Form of Will.
A Will in this Form has no effect on Freehold Property in Land.
If, while on active service, a soldier over the age of 14 years wishes to make a short will he may do so on the opposite page. It must be in his own handwriting and must be signed and dated. It will apply only to property other than Freehold Land.*
The full names and addresses of the persons whom he desires to benefit and the sum of money or the articles or property he desires to leave to them, must be clearly stated.

* Note. €“ If a soldier being over the age of 21 years desires to make a will of Freehold Land he may do so not in the above form but in the ordinary way. A will of Freehold Land must be signed by the soldier in the presence of two witnesses, who must also sign the will as witnesses in the soldier's presence.
If a soldier has made a will elsewhere than in his Pay Book he should insert on page 19 the name and address of the person with whom it is lodged.
