My Dear Auntie

Just how pleased I was to receive your letter of Jan 23rd I can hardly say, I love getting your letters, they are always so newsy & Bright, I only received it a couple of days ago, & am going to answer it right away,
You will have known that the great Fritz offensive has at last been launched & so far my Unit is not in the fury of it, but expect our time will come, so will get this off while a good opportunity offers.
