Turkey. The Rest camp is situated where all is quiet with a Greek village or two roundabout. The climate is grand & they're giving us fair food, fresh meat, eggs, vegetables etc, quite a change from the hard fare at Anzac. Not but that is was was badly needed, as everyone was rather seedy.
I daresay you know that John contracted Rheumatic fever after being in the firing line for a couple of months. I had the good luck to see him several times, good luck insomuch that he is in a different Division & miles away, & while being sorry to hear that he was ill, I was also pleased to think that there was only one of us, instead of two, likely to be bowled over at any moment.
