a good many acres of ground. One evening we marched from camp to Kasr-el-nil Barracks, situated on the other side of Cairo, and on the way passed through the following thoroughfares

Boulevarde Abd-el-Moneim
Avenue De Lima
Avenue Ramses
Avenue Du Caire

We stayed at the Barracks a few hours, before returning to camp. That building, one of the oldest of its kind, which its appearance denotes has in its time been garrisoned by most of the famous British regiments.
