 SATURDAY - 14TH NOVEMBER 1914:

 At 4-0 p.m. the "Messina" left for Sydney, with despatches and mails, also German and Court Martial Prisoners, referred to in previous diaries.

Pay to the end of October was issued to the troops at Rabaul at Herbertshohe.

The decision of the Courts Martial on No. 964 Pte. B. Heaps, and No. 1072 Pte. F. Fortescue, were announced; the former, who was charged with robbery in China Town was found 'not guilty'. Fortescue was found guilty of offering resistance to Superior Officer and resisting escort; he was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment and discharged with ignominy from His Majesty's service.

The health of the Troops continues satisfactory.
