WEDNESDAY - 27TH JANUARY 15:

The "Morinda" arrived from Rabaul, having on board Captain Morrison, Lieut. Chambers and 52 men. The troops were marched to Victoria Barracks, and after collecting their arms, equipment, etc. they were each handed an advance of £2 on their pay, and directed to present themselves at Barracks for final payment and discharge at 10-0 a.m. on Friday, 29th instant. 

Dr. Wick, German Medical Officer ex Rabaul, was on board the "Morinda" and acted as Medical Officer. 

The undermentioned Germans were also brought to Sydney by this vessel:-
Herr Muller, Clerk, Rabaul.
 do Hoffman, Plantation Manager, Hernsheim & Co. 
 do Tafel, Government Official, Angorum. 
 do Leier, Police Master, Angorum.

One Infantry Private ex "Morinda" was admitted to Garrison Hospital suffering from Malaria.
