  Well Dr Father I must be drawing to a close as I have some Official returns to make up for this post  =  it was with much pleasure I heard you were all well.  I hope you enjoyed a Merry Christmas and that the New Year [words crossed out] will be unusually happy and most sincerely and heartily thanking you and my dr [dear] friends for their kindness and consideration with kindest love Regards remembrance etc [?] who kindly remember & give me a place in their thoughts believe me my dearest Father
