Sir

I have many thanks to return you for the Sketch of a rout across the continent which you sent to me in the Spring  I have laid it by as a treasure of some consequence & shall not fail if an opportunity should offer of carrying [?]  forward your proposal that [indecipherable] of which would in my opinion add [indecipherable] to the reputation which [indecipherable] has derivd from the discoveries made in [indecipherable] can [Indecipherable] have sent you
