[April 9]

We had very little to do this morning, so we had a look around making inquiries were Fritzs line was & about our stunt.  In the afternoon I sat on a nail about 4 inches long & it has been very sore.  We watched an aeroplane fight at close range, two of Fritz & one of ours;  ours had to land behind our own lines, landed well.  Fritz is shelling our guns & the village.  Still heavy shelling on our left up Arras way.  Boy's moving out for the stunt.  Fritz has two villages on our left at present.
